Youth revival meets with success

FORT WAYNE—Community Ministries Inc. recently sponsored a six-day Community Youth Revival at Renaissance Baptist Church. According to Evangelist Dorothy Nichols, who presides over the ministry, the revival was designed “for the young people to speak the word of God to other young people.”

The theme for the revival, which ran from Nov. 16 through Nov. 21, was “Building a Solid Foundation for a New Generation,” taken from 1 Peter 2:9.

Nichols said the presenters at the event included youthful preachers, musicians and praise dancers. In addition to Renaissance Baptist Church, a number of other area churches and groups—including Jerusalem Baptist Church, Christ Church of Faith, Victory Temple Worship Center, House of God, Willing Workers Outreach Ministry, Manifest Praise & Worship Center, First Redeemed By The Blood church and Branches of Christ Ministries— sent their young people to participate.

“The revival was a great success. Youth, young adults and seniors were eager to express, teach and preach the Word of God,” said Evangelist Nichols and Evangelist Yolanda Hall, of Willing Workers Outreach Ministry, in a joint statement. “It was truly a week of being revived, up lifted and encouraged for all involved.”

The youth speakers for the revival included:

• Nov. 16—The Rev. Michael Latham Jr. of Renaissance Baptist Church.
• Nov. 17—Minister Keenan Nichols of House of God.
• Nov. 18—Brother Lamontrai Board of Branches of Christ Ministries and the Rev. Thaier Williamson of Jerusalem Baptist Church.
• Nov. 19—Minister Daniel Stuart of First Redeemed by the Blood.
• Nov. 20—Minister Anthony Eldridge of Christ Church of Faith and Saint Kyra Nichols of Community Ministries Inc.

Nov. 21—Sister Britney Bryant of Manifest Praise & Worship Center and Evangelist Nettie Guy, guest speaker on behalf of Willing Workers Outreach Ministry.
