Veteran should leave Indiana to get justice

Although a licensed professional, I am providing "only" a perspective/ opinion on "John's" situation as a concerned citizen. John's "Bipolar" is an often repeated scenario in our society and has destroyed many lives.
I believe the courts and VA board will only allow "John's" disability to go back to the year "Bipolar" ailment was actually recognized as a chronic condition and was required by federal law to be treated as such for insurance purposes. The manifestations of bipolar have been researched and documented as the result of traumatic events in one's life.
The medical information provided by the physician is dead on and the documentation is without question, appropriate for "John's" cause. Unfortunately, in the 1970s, we did not treat human beings in the manner in which we do today. The military very well could have given this man a medication that they referred to as "vitamins" because in that era "ethical disclosure" was not mandated by any licensed body of knowledge and the military was not subjected to "lawful disclosure."
This country of ours needs to stand by all of its citizens, especially the military personnel. The military are the ones who make it possible for citizens to sleep at night. Give this man what he is entitled to. And, "John," do yourself a favor-move out of Indiana. Trust me. I live here too.
