Donnie McClurkin' CD essential gospel listening

Donnie McClurkin has been said to have the soul of Andrae Crouch and the flare of Kirk Franklin. But, to this writer, he takes gospel music to another or even a further level.
There are few male vocalists today who allow the messages and the music to be center stage. He has the ability to allow the message to be told by virtue of his God-given voice and not by how loud he can be. You will be hard pressed to contain yourself when he is joined by Yolanda Adams in a duet. It is hard not to have "that good feeling" when they join voices and sing both "The Prayer" and "We Fall Down."
The two-CD set includes more hours of must have gospel music. Because much of this CD is live you are able to feel the energy he creates with his audience. It is not surprising that McClurkin has sold nearly five million albums with each of his solo albums having reached No. 1 on Billboard gospel chart. I am sure we will hear much more from this two-time Grammy award winner.
