FORT WAYNE—Fort Wayne native Valerie Saunders Pope was back in town recently for a book signing at Turner Chapel AME Church. Pope, who now resides in South Bend, is the author the book, “Heaven or Hell: It’s easy as 1, 2, 3.”
“The book represents the choices we make in our everyday lives that either bring us closer to the Lord or push us farther away,” explained Pope. “The book is intended to be a short and informative tool that can be carried with you in everyday settings and situations.”
Pope has worked as a speech pathologist in South Bend for more than 30 years and is an ordained minister with Victory Lighthouse Christian Church in South Bend, where the Rev. Dr. Patti Mack Tucker is founder and senior pastor.
Pope is the daughter of Esther Saunders of Fort Wayne and the wife of Jerry Pope.
