Three dead, one critical after incident at Holton Avenue house

FORT WAYNE—At approximately 3:55 a.m., Sept. 11, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a home in the 3000 block of Holton Avenue on a report of an unknown problem.

Officers arrived and located four victims inside the residence: two women and one man who were pronounced deceased on the scene; and one woman who was taken to a local hospital in critical condition where she remains.

According to an early report, someone inside the home called 911 reporting hearing gunshots. At this time, it is unknown whether the victims were shot or stabbed, or what exact injuries they received. Investigators are currently working to piece together what Potential witnesses who were possibly inside the home when this incident occurred were interviewed by police and crime scene units and detectives processed the scene. Investigators are hoping to speak with the female at the hospital as early as possible to begin piecing this incident together. It is unknown if this incident is related to any other homicides.

There is no suspect information at this time.
