You may remember that Reflections N Glass Corvette Club was spotlighted in Frost Illustrated  July 5, 2016 and it’s purpose was to help raise money for their second annual scholarship fund.  Well today, Sunday July 31, 2016 is the actual day those scholarships of $200 were handed to four deserving students to help further their education.  And this year, some extra beauty was brought to the table because both a bother and sister were recipients and so I know, that brought a smile to their mother’s face.

The president of Reflections N Glass, Virgil Alexander, had this to say:

“We’re giving out these scholarships to these well deserving young men and women so they may further their education and come back, to show us the progress of what they are doing in the future and we’re looking forward to honoring more young adults, next year, at our third annual scholarship fund celebration.”

We now bring to you their scholarship recipients:

“I’m Jiya L. Graham and I graduated from Wayne High School class of 2016.  I’m attending Ivy Tech Community College here in Fort Wayne, to pursue my degree in Respiratory Therapy because the medical field is something I’ve always been interested in.  And, being a recipient of this scholarship, makes me feel blessed and thankful.”

“I’m Massiah M. Harris and I graduated from Wayne High School and I’m going to attend Ivy Tech Community College to become a Pediatrics Nurse because my mom is actually a pediatrics nurse and I love working with children.  I’m honored and thankful to be accepted for this scholarship because it will help me in college.”

“I’m Clarence White and I’m currently attending Purdue University and this is going to be my sophomore year.  My major is Mechanical Engineering and I feel honored about receiving this scholarship, it’s a blessing and it’s going to help me a lot.”

“I’m Taron Graham and I graduated from North Side High School and I attend Trine University in Angola, Indiana majoring in Exercise Science and I play football.  This will be my third year and I’m very thankful to get this scholarship because not to many people receive scholarships and I’m ready to take advantage of this opportunity and get to work.”

“I’m the proud grandmother of Jiya and Taron Graham and collectively, myself and the parents would like to thank the Corvette Club for this opportunity and the blessing they bestowed upon our kids, we really appreciate it.”

“I’m Kendrick Alexander and I’m the proud father of Clarence White and I’m thankful for the Corvette Club for giving my son a scholarship so he can further his education in his studies at Purdue University.”

Congratulations everyone!
