Healthy Food Access Town Hall meeting set

FORT WAYNE—Indiana Minority Health coalition, in cooperation with HealthyVisions of Fort Wayne, local affiliates, is sponsoring a series of Healthy Food Access Town Hall Meetings across the state. The goals of these events will be to increase awareness about local conditions surrounding healthy food access, discuss potential policy solutions, identify community resources and best practices, and create a dialogue between key stakeholders and community members. Community organizations and state legislators have been invited to participate in these important events.

Indiana Minority Health Coalition, as a member of the Indiana Healthy Food Access Coalition, in cooperation with their local affiliate in Fort Wayne, Health Visions of Fort wayne, is proud to host a Healthy Food Access Town Hall Meeting from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at the Allen County Public Library.

HealthVisions is a public health organization and a ministry of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ’ We serve the poor, underserved and racial ethnic minority population in Fort Wayne through education, outreach, information and referrals services’ We strive to improve health awareness and access through collaboration and empowerment.
