Man found shot to death in Central Drive area

FORT WAYNE—At approximately 6:34 p.m., Nov. 21, Fort Wayne police officers responded to the area of 3200 Central Drive in reference to shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers searched the area and located a silver passenger car that had multiple bullets holes in it.  After further inspection, an adult male was located inside the vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  Officers secured the area and Paramedics approached the scene and pronounced the victim, later identified as 26-year-old Harold Von Harrington, deceased at the scene.

A K9 track was initiated at the scene and terminated abruptly a short time later.  Officers remained at the scene gathering potential information about the shooting.  The neighborhood was canvassed and the crime scene processed the scene for evidence.

This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
