Weisser Park Center to host Black History Bowl

FORT WAYNE—Weisser Park Youth Center, 802 Eckart St., is scheduled to host its Sixth Annual Black History Bowl from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Feb. 20.

Organizers describe the Black History Bowl as “a match competition to remember famous African Americans.” Teams of youth match their knowledge of historical black figures for not just bragging rights but also to share knowledge of a proud collective past.

Scheduled to compete this year are:

• Jennings Recreation Center

• Cooper Community Center

• Weisser Park Youth Center

• Sister to Sister

• Euell A. Wilson Center

• Boys & Girls Club

• Fort Wayne Urban League

• Greater Progressive Baptist Church Life Center

• Greater Mt. Ararat Baptist Church

• Prime Time Youth Center
