Urban League Guild to hold scholarship ball

FORT WAYNE—The Fort Wayne Urban League Guild is scheduled to hold their Scholarship Masquerade Ball, “A Celebration of Educational Excellence” at 6 p.m., May 31I at Orchard Ridge Country Club, 4531 Lower Huntington Road in Fort Wayne.

The Fort Wayne Urban League Guild (FWULG) members are committed and focused on assisting the local affiliate with volunteerism in the area of fundraising, community service, community awareness and leadership.  The past few years, the guild’s volunteer efforts have focused more on leadership and youth development.

“We are working hard to improve the overall quality of life for minority children and other disenfranchised groups,” said FWULG member Nicole Conrad in a statement.

The mission of the Fort Wayne Urban League (FWUL) is to enable urban residents and others to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights. The vision of the FWUL is “to be the premier catalyst for positive change in the quality of life for the residents in the greater Fort Wayne Community.
