Union Baptist sponsors 21st Annual Black History Knowledge Competition

FORT WAYNE—Union Baptist Church, 2200 Smith St., is scheduled to sponsor their 21st Annual Black History Knowledge Competition at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22. The theme for 2014 is ROOTED in the Past, GROWING Toward the Future!

The public is invited to participate in this prize winning Jeopardy style question and answer format. Multi-generational teams of four (with an alternate) are encouraged.

There will be pre-registration for the general public to receive study packets, please call (260) 456-3421, the Union Baptist Church office, 2200 Smith St., now through Feb. 12, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.

Registration at the event begins at 9 a.m., with the competition beginning at 10 a.m.

This local program is made possible by donations from the members of Union Baptist, which is the oldest African-American Baptist church in the city of Fort Wayne.
