Rape victim to be hanged in Iran

| April 15, 2014

What is the definition of manliness? Passing laws to cover the fact that your society’s men are so weak of mind that they would physically assault someone’s mother, sister or daughter and be too cowardly to pay the consequences themselves. Blame the victim!  And for those who hide behind so-called “religious convention,” take a read of Genesis 34 to see how Dinah’s brothers responded to the rape of their sister. We’re not advocating vigilante justice, but pointing out how aggressively the men in that story defended their sister.  What is interesting is that these stories of rapes and particularly gang rapes across the world sound like the old stories of barbarians laying waste to land which they have invaded. Apparently, the world is still full of barbarism and countries that seem to sanction barbarism when it comes to the treatment of women and children. Is it us or is it a state act of cowardice for the law to cover up the aberrant behavior os some of its men?

The Iranian regime is slated to hang on Tuesday a 26-year-old woman charged with fatally stabbing her accused rapist, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.

Rayhaneh Jabbari, a 26-year-old former interior designer, is scheduled to be hanged this week after serving the last seven years in prison for stabbing a doctor who she claims drugged her and attempted to rape her.

The case has drawn international outrage from human rights activists, who are fighting to stay the execution. These activists have cast a spotlight on Iran’s flawed judicial system, which executed more than 500 people in 2013 and is on pace to kill even more this year.
