Jamarcus D. Abercrombie, 40, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013. Arrangements were by Carmichael Funeral Service.

Kenneth Alexander Jr., 35, of Fort Wayne, passed on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013. He was born on Jan. 6, 1978, in Fort Wayne. Surviving are his son, Adam McCowan of Fort Wayne; mother, Bertha Alexander of Detroit; father, Kenneth Alexander Sr. of Fort Wayne; and sisters, Trina Alexander of Detroit, Kimberly Alexander of Fort Wayne, and Natosha Alexander of Clarksville, Tenn. Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 10 at Wings of Deliverance Tabernacle Holiness, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements were by Carmichael Funeral Service.

Irma Jean Bass, 62, of Fort Wayne, passed on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014. She was born on July 23, 1949, in Uniontown, Ala. She retired from DFC Services after 25 years of dedicated service. Surviving are her husband, James Bass; children, Jacqueline, Della, Christopher (Belinda), Darrell and Beverly Wilson; and a host of other relatives. Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 11 at True Love Baptist Church, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements were by Carmichael Funeral Service.

Robert Louis “Bill” Dickson Sr., 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Summit Nursing & Rehab. Surviving are his children, Robert L. “Bobby” (Jandi) Dickson Jr., Joyce “Jodi” Dickson, Sheryl “Sherrie” Dickson, and Jason Dickson; sister, Grace Caldwell; uncle, Walter Grantham; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Services were Jan. 11, 2014, at Turner Chapel AME Church, 836 E. Jefferson Blvd., with burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Arrangements were by Ellis Funeral Home. Send condolences at

Margaret A. Holley, 70, of Fort Wayne, died on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at home. Born Feb. 27, 1943, in Perry County, Ala., she enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are her daughters, Mary Ann Brown, Sherria R. and Irene D. Holley; sons, Jessie J. (Debra), Willie Jr., Leon (Tonya) and William; sisters, Betty L. Holley and Mary F. Carswell; brother, Calvin (Irene) Holley; 28 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Services were Friday, Jan. 10 at Antioch Baptist Church, 425 Agnes St., with burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.

John Willis Williams, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on July 2, 1924, in Madisonville, Ky. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, John Jr., Joan-Etta, Ida, Tasco, and Keith Williams. Services were Saturday, Jan. 11 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1151 Francis St. Arrangements were by Nelson Memorial Gardens Inc.
