Meet & Greet for unjustly terminated employees

| February 27, 2014

FORT WAYNE—Have you or someone who you know ever experienced being terminated from a job/career due to what has been determined by the state as unjust cause?  From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., March 15, The Wisdom Center—an area grassroots organization—is scheduled to host a Meet & Greet at the Allen County Main Library, 900 Library Plaza, in Meeting Room B for people “who have been or are currently on the journey of renewal from this chaotic experience.”

Both employees and employers are invited to attend.

According to the Indiana Department of Labor, Wage and Child Labor, “statistics for unjust cause terminations do not exist in this organization.”  Wisdom Center officials say, “this makes one wonder if unjust cause terminations are a ‘catch all’ for employers who use personality conflicts, non-team player, philosophical differences, political differences, and the myriad of differences as unspoken reasons to systematically set-up then terminate select employees.”

Kathy McCowan, a certified teacher in the state of Indiana and an active member of the local community, is the facilitator for the Meet & Greet.  The event is free and open to the public.  Parking is free to Allen County Library Card holders.
