Jerusalem Baptist to hold Women’s Day celebration

FORT WAYNE-Jerusalem  Baptist Church, 1151 Francis St., is scheduled to host their 54th Women’s Day Celebration on Aug. 24 with morning and evening programs.

The theme for the celebration is  “Christian Women Doing A New Thing Through Fellowship,” taken from  1 John 1:1-7.

The celebration is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m. Sunday morning service with special guest speaker Lady Katie J. Elliott of New Greater St John Community  MBC, Chicago, where Dr. LeRoy Elliott is pastor.

The Women’s Day festivities are scheduled to continue at 5 p.m., with evening special speaker Deaconess Mary Craig of Jerusalem Baptist Church.

Sister Sharon Garth is general chairperson for the event; Sister Jessie Washington is general mission president, and Dr. Michael A. Griffin is  pastor.
