Fund established for Hanq Neal’s mother

| March 26, 2014
Fort Wayne native and internationally acclaimed gospel artist Henry "Hanq" Neal.

Henry “Hanq” Neal.

I read your story about the death of Hanq Neal. My brother and I were friends with him at Snider High School, and we attended his funeral in Houston.

You might want to let people know that Hanq’s church, Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, is establishing a Special Management Trust, for his mother, Mrs. Kathyleen Neal, who is 95 and needs around the clock care. Hanq supported her and was one of her caregivers, along with his sister. Now that he is gone, the family has decided to put her in a facility.

Persons who want to contribute to her care can make checks to Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, 3826 Wheeler Ave., Houston, TX 77004, designated to Family of Hanq Neal. Or, go to the church web site, http://www.wheeleravebc.org/, and contribute via credit card.

I am sure that people in Fort Wayne who remember Hank and his family would appreciate knowing about the trust.

Thank you. All the best,

—Leigh Westerfield
