WalMart Southtown Crossing store celebrates grand reopening

| August 16, 2013

FORT WAYNE—The Walmart Supercenter at 7502 Southtown Crossing in Fort Wayne is scheduled to celebrate a Grand Re-Opening Aug. 16 after a thorough refreshing of the store’s facilities. Store Manager Dawn Moore said the total overhaul of the store is “an indication of Walmart’s commitment to the south side of Fort Wayne and the community that it serves.”

Renovations include the return of a fabric department at the store along with new store fixtures, debit/credit card readers, scales, updated restroom facilities and fresh paint and signage throughout the store.

As part of the store’s continuing service to organizations in the neighborhood, the store is currently running a “Stuff the School Bus” campaign to benefit Southwick Elementary School and Prince Chapman Academy with school supplies donated by customers.

The Walmart Supercenter at Southtown Crossing routinely gives assistance to various charitable organizations such as the Weisser Park Elementary School Teacher Recognition event. The Southtown Crossing Walmart Supercenter is also the largest food contributor to the Community Harvest Food Bank of all Walmart stores in Fort Wayne.
