Professor andré douglas pond cummings presents “Peace, Liberty and Justice for All?: America’s War on Drugs and the Prison Industrial Complex” at Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Fort Wayne on June 30. He is Professor of Law and Associate Dean at the Indiana Tech Law School. cummings reflects on the war on drugs, the increase of the prison population and the interest of the for-profit companies building and managing prisons. dré has written extensively about racial and social justice issues, publishing in several Law Journals. His first book was released in 2010 under the title “Reversing Field: Examining Commercialization, Labor, Gender and Race in the 21st Century Sport Law”. He graduated cum laude with high distinction from Howard University School of Law and has been recognized on several occasions as Professor of the Year.
