TRIAAC set to host Post-Labor Day Community Fish Fry

The Three Rivers Institute of Afrikan Art & Culture (TRIAAC) invites you to a Post-Labor Day Community Fish Fry, featuring the best fried fish in the city,with a daylong celebration of live entertainment by community talent.

Join us from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, at TRIAAC, 501 E. Brackenridge Street, across the street from the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, and around the corner from the African African-American Historical Museum. All proceeds go to TRIAAC’s Pre-Capital Campaign.

The menu will include a (one piece) Tilapia sandwich with coleslaw and a soft drink, $7, and a (two piece) dinner with yellow rice and smothered cabbage plus a soft drink, $10.

For advance orders, call (260) 969-9442 ext. 13, and leave your name, order, and contact info. We will deliver orders of five or more dinners to persons living in the 46802, 46806, and 46807 area codes.

Artists appearing include our award-winning Three Rivers Jenbé Ensemble, with traditional Afrikan drumming,  SpokenWord by Linda Bess, Teresa Vazquez, Alle Wims, and Layli, plus a fiery presentation by Pyroscope Entertainment.
