Gonzalez siblings head to Junior Olympics

CIBOLO, Texas—Though the competition is still a few days away, the Gonzalez family already has earned a reputation for excellence with a trio of outstanding young track & field athletes.
Brothers Isaac, Anthony and Daniel Gonzalez are scheduled to compete in the 2013 AAU Junior Olympics set for July 29 through Aug. 3 at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Mich.
The sons of Joseph R. and Erika Gonzalez of Cibolo, Texas and grandsons of Robert and Gloria Gonzalez of Lillie Street in Fort Wayne, the terrific trio earned the right to compete in the national meet with consistent performance in state competitions.
Isaac, 13, is scheduled to compete in the 14 Year Old Division of the 4x400m relay. He enters the Junior Olympics ranked No. 3 in the state of Texas.
Brother Anthony, 12, is scheduled to compete in the 12 Year Old Division in the 800m, 1,500m and 4x400m relay. He enters the national completion with Texas rankings of No. 4 in the 800m, No. 2 in the 1,500m and No. 1 in the 4x400m relay in his division.
Youngest brother Daniel, 10, is scheduled to compete in he 10 Year Old Division in the shot put. He currently is ranked No. 4 in the state of Texas in the shot put for his age division.
