FORT WAYNE—One of the city’s most promising daughters is set to return to the Summit City for a long-awaited stellar concert performance in one of the last big events of the summer.
Rising Atlanta-based R&B star Tasha DeNae is scheduled to perform with her acclaimed Jimi DeNae Band at 8:15 p.m., Sept. 1 at the Philmore On Broadway, 2441 Broadway.
In just a few years, Fort Wayne native DeNae has gone from being a local favorite to one of the nation’s young and upcoming music stars. After locating to Atlanta, she began to hit stride on scene as a popular performer not only in that southern music mecca but also outside the U.S., performing in Europe and Africa. Never to forget her roots, however, DeNae is coming home at the request of local fans who have not forgotten her.
Tickets for the show are $13.50 in advance and $15 the day of the show.
