Renaissance Baptist Church offers two nights of fun for youth

FORT WAYNE—Renaissance Baptist Church, 5515 S. Hanna St., in conjunction with Community Ministry, is scheduled to host a number of activities including a Hallelujah Fest, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Oct. 31 followed by an Open Mic Night, from 6 p.m. until, Nov. 1, featuring spoken word, dance, rap, music, poetry and more.

The Hallelujah Fest on Oct. 31 is for children up to age 12 and features a “Trunk or Treat,” cake walk, bobbing for apples, cookie decorating, open mic and more. The fest is free.

In addition to giving young people in the community a chance to perform inspiring works of art, the Nov. 1 open mic night also is scheduled to feature renowned Christian rappers Minister Jeff performing his “Gorilla Gospel” and J. Evans, both of Indianapolis. The night also includes food and drinks for attendees.
