Police share video of attempted robbery

FORT WAYNE—Fort Wayne Police are presently investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred at approximately 12:06 a.m., June 25. The suspect entered the store, approached the register and then pulled out a knife and demanded cash. Unable to obtain cash, the suspect fled the store empty-handed.

Investigators are releasing in-store camera surveillance video and still images of the suspect in the hopes that someone will recognize him.

The suspect is described as a black male, having long hair; last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt. Anyone having information about this incident is asked to call Fort Wayne Police at (260) 427-1201, or Crime Stoppers at (260) 436-7867.

The incident remains under investigation with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
