Lillie B. Irby-Redmond, 71, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Lula Irby. Surviving are her daughters, Kimberly Redmond-Bates and Arlecia Redmond-White; grandchildren, Kandance Redmond, Kimmetra Redmond and Ashlee White; sisters, Lillie Board and Ruthell Moore; brother, Pinkie (Ola) Irby; sister-in-law, Clara Irby; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Marcus Hayden. Services were Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Ellis Funeral Home, with burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Ellis Funeral Home.

 

Edward “Bill” Jemison, 81, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at his home with his family. A native of Sprotts, Ala., Bill graduated from Lincoln High School, Marion, Ala. After relocating to Fort Wayne in 1951, he began employment with Fruehauf Trailers and retired from Slater Steel in 1999. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Thelma Jemison; daughters, Pamela Tabb of Fort Wayne, Valerie (Darrell) Dennis of Nashville, Tenn. and Teresa (Doug) Shelton of Danbury, Conn.; five grandchildren, David (LaNesha) Tabb of Indianapolis, Courtney Shelton of Atlanta, Ga., Cameron Shelton of Philadelphia, Pa., Amber Dennis and Lauren Dennis, both of Nashville, Tenn.; one great-granddaughter, Lillian Grace Tabb; four sisters; eight brothers; and a host of relatives and friends. Services were Friday, May 10, 2013, at Southern Heights Baptist Church, 4001 S. Anthony Blvd., with burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Arrangements were by Ellis Funeral Home.

 

Robert V. Williams, 67, died Monday, May 6, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Pastor Williams is survived by his six children: Alisa Brook, Glenn Brewer, Jason Brooks, Sierra DuBose, Danielle Williams and Daniel Williams. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren. Service will be held Wednesday, May 15 at Kingdom Door Worship Center at with calling at 10 a.m. and the funeral beginning at 11 a.m.
