Local family and friends of Dorcas Ayo Aduro of Nigeria are scheduled to host a Wake Keeping/Memorial Service at 3 p.m., June 16 at St. Augustine Lutheran Church 3326 Calhoun St. Born April 3, 1933, she moved into God’s care on June 1, 2013.
The family offered the following tribute to Mother Aduro:
“In Loving Memory of our dear Mother Dorcas Ayo Aduro: May your soul rest in peace
“With tearful eyes we watched and saw you fade away; although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. God saw you getting tired so He put his arms around you and whispered, ‘Come with me, my daughter!’ If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, we’d walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. Goodbye Mama, we rest assured in the Lord that we shall meet again.”
Dorcas Ayo Aduro is survived by her husband Baba Ebun Aduro, a sister Auntie Folayemi Lijofi, five children, Mr. Tony Aduro, (Caroline), Mrs. Bioye Medaunsi, (Medaunsi) Mrs. Iyabo Famakinwa, (Sunday) Mrs. Kikelomo Obagun (Tunde) and Mrs. Aduke Komolafe (Komolafe); 12 grand children, and six great grand children.
