Fort Wayne police investigate BP robbery on Calhoun Street

FORT WAYNE—The Fort Wayne Police Department is presently investigating an armed robbery that occurred on June 22, 2013 at approximately 1:54 a.m. at 3833 S. Calhoun St., site of a BP Gas Station. It was reported that a black male entered the business brandishing a handgun and demanded money from the register. The perpetrator left the store walking ‘casually’ in a southeast direction from the front of the store. There were no injuries reported at the scene. Investigators have obtained store surveillance footage (see video above) of the perpetrator and they are seeking the public’s help in identifying him.

Anyone with information as to the identity or whereabouts of this individual is asked to call police at (260) 427-1201, or Crime Stoppers at (260) 436-STOP [7867] where a cash reward is possible for information received. The incident remains under investigation with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
