Beaudin, Baughman to perform at TRIAAC

| March 21, 2013

FORT WAYNE—The Acoustic SpokenWord Café is scheduled to present writer and humorist Keith Beaudin and multifaceted artist Joe Baughman at 7 p.m., March 23 at the Three Rivers Institute of Afrikan Arts & Culture, 501 E. Brackenridge St.

Beaudin, a veteran of the city’s open mic circuit, uses a blend of sardonic wit, tongue in cheek and very personal writing as a mean for catharsis and inspiration in the face of a history of being used in a verbally abusive household and public school system. Beaudin’s revolutionary work covers a wide range of topics.

Described as having multiple personalities—the Dreamer, the Musician, the Writer, the Photographer, the Cinematographer, the Storyteller—Baughman brings is able to speak to the masses in a variety of voices, sometimes in more than one such voice at a time.

Admission is $5. For more information, call the Three Rivers Institute of Afrikan Arts & Culture at (260) 969-9442.
