Arrest made in homicide investigation

FORT WAYNE—Fort Wayne Police have made an arrest in connection with the June 9, 2013 shooting death of Jabron Q. Totton in a parking lot at the corner of Hanna and Lewis streets. Officers located Eric Jermaine Smith, 36 of Fort Wayne, and took him into custody without incident. Smith was transported to the Allen County Jail on a murder charge. The incident remains under investigation with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
